The Basics
Canon World: Bloodborne
Canon Point: After Eileen bequeaths her badge and her burden as the Hunter of Hunters to the player character for defeating the Bloody Crow of Cainhurst, she manages to survive long enough to be drawn in by the world of Morganda.
Name (First, Last): Eileen the Crow
Aliases/Nickname(s): Eileen the Crow; the Crow; the Hunter of Hunters
Age: Unknown, old
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Appearance: Typically dressed in her black cloak while out and about, it stands out for how the tattered cloth resembles the feathers of her namesake. The eye-catching plague mask is bone-white and tapers into a long beak. Underneath the mask, Eileen bears a battle-scarred, wrinkled countenance with a rich, dark complexion and weary, but kind brown eyes (see here).
First Impressions: Calm and unflappable, Eileen radiates a foreboding, almost unapproachable presence, especially if her mask is up and hides her face. But upon approach, a stranger will find that she deals a generous hand to those in need and is quite kind. While she has little patience for most people, and can be bluntly matter-of-fact in her speech, she will freely offer supportive words of encouragement.
Reputation: She used to walk amongst the hunters, but she was never really a part of them. Eileen's duty as the Hunter of Hunters was to seek out those hunters who had succumbed to madness (caused by intoxication to blood), and friends were no exception. She did not revel in these hunts (much), but saw it as a mercy to them to end their suffering and as a courtesy to other hunters to help keep their hands clean. Her title is traditionally passed down to those like her, to other outsiders from the region known only as "the hinterlands," instead of other city-dwelling hunters from Yharnam where most of Bloodborne's story takes place. Why that happens to be the case is unknown. She was possibly viewed with a mixture of respect and disdain, the latter more and more as the city's inhabitants barred themselves inside their homes in order to survive and took to driving off "lousy off-comers." This xenophobia was prevalent during the hunts, as the beast plague ran rampant and turned thousands upon thousands of people into flesh-hungry monsters. Most neither trusted nor befriended her, but she acted honorably and chose to deal with their scorn through minimizing contact with them. The rest was a burden she chose to carry.

The Details
Likes: Cooperation, cleanliness, order, birds, star-gazing
Dislikes: Dishonesty, oath-breakers, frenzy, selfishness, meddling
Quirks: She has a distinct accent from the average Yharnamite, which makes sense as she is also a foreigner and an outsider. Famously pronounces "hunter" as "hoonter." She wears a carved, wooden mask shaped like a beak and fills it with special incense to ward off beasthood.
Personality: Eileen has a presence of command and poise about her, quietly controlled and exceptionally wise. She is a capable survivor and depends on no one but herself; however, due to the ways that she is used to fighting as a hunter, she has a streak of recklessness that no amount of her talk of being "an old woman" can entirely quench. She is proud. She is stubborn and maintains a conviction of purpose. At the same time, she displays a rare kindness in how she treats others, encouraging them to have courage. Despite her violence, she sees her job in killing hunters who have gone mad as a mercy, knowing that there is no way to bring them back to their senses. She is clearly intense, highly experienced, and eerily otherworldly, as though her attachment to the waking world is not as tethered as it should be.
Background: Eileen has little background in the story of Bloodborne, although some details may be speculated through a) events that take place in the game; b) items related to her and their descriptions; and c) dialogue. She may originate from a region known as "the hinterlands," which are outside of the city of Yharnam. She was bequeathed the title Hunter of Hunters some time ago from someone who held it before her, supposedly a mentor. She describes herself as an old woman and comports herself to the player as an expert hunter. She knew the hunters Gascoigne and Henryk, the latter of whom she was determined to hunt as he had become mad. If the player character cooperates with Eileen in taking down Henryk, she will appear again after the blood moon outside of the Grand Cathedral, where she lays dying after being bested by a blood-drunk (perhaps Vileblood) hunter (known to players as the "Bloody Crow of Cainhurst"). She tells the PC, that this is her "score to settle" and that there are "no more dreams for me." If the PC ignores Eileen, she will appear inside the Grand Cathedral as a foe for the PC to defeat, as she will fall to the madness that she has long fought against. In this second type of encounter, she may mention to the player to "say hello to the little doll," which refers to the Doll of the Hunter's Dream. Both instances hint that Eileen knows of the Hunter's Dream and may have been a visitor there once just as the PC is.

This roleplay character account assumes that the PC has cooperated with Eileen. Disclaimer: other details concerning background and history may be created by the writer later. These details will always take Bloodborne's canon into account, but must always be considered as the writer's interpretation of the character and may not be found within Bloodborne.
Special Abilities, Talents, etc.: She is a fighter. She is quick on her feet and clever when it comes to hand-to-hand combat, darting in close in order to eviscerate her opponents. She prefers to fight with dexterity rather than strength or arcane knowledge. She understands the weaknesses of beasts, but the majority of her targets are other hunters who have gone mad and become lost to blood lust. She has survived for a long time without succumbing to the scourge of beasts, and she has the strength of willpower and focus that helps to keep her sane. Leave the hunting of hunters to her.
